“History Preserved Through Knowledge Shared”

The members of the Vermessung und Karten Abteilung 61 are dedicated to preserving the history of the Second World War through research and sharing the knowledge gained to the public and interested individuals. We are a NON-POLITICAL group of history enthusiasts; we ARE NOT a NEO-NAZI organization, and we neither support nor subscribe to the ideals, goals, or aspirations of National Socialism or other extremist groups, nor are we affiliated with any such organizations.

To truly understand and learn from history, all aspects, perspectives, and view points must be presented and the Second World War is no exception. To this end, members of the Vermessung und Karten Abteilung 61 have elected to follow the difficult path of presenting the story of one of the many unknown support units in the German Army during the conflict, whose story is rarely, if seldom, told.
